“We must help the child to act for himself, will for himself, think for himself; this is the art of those who aspire to serve the spirit.”
~ Dr. Maria Montessori, Education for a New World
It is our aim to nurture, encourage and challenge the development of each child in a positive communal environment. Our approach invites children to learn at their own pace in a home-style natural and peaceful environment. Parents and home cultures are valued as cornerstone resources. The daily focus is to use an inquiring play-based environment we serve children from 6 weeks of age through 5 years old with exciting opportunities to explore, investigate, create and grow. The mission is staff and parents/caregivers partnering to balance each child’s independence, small group activities, and exposure to outdoor-nature, so each child can be championed to be their best.
“You see a child play, and it is so close to seeing an artist paint, for in play a child says things without uttering a word. You can see how he solves his problems.”
~ Erik Erikson
